At the very inception, this theatre was called Natya Niketan. The legendary Sisir Bhaduri started acting at this hallowed stage in 1942. This raised the status of the theatre to sky-kissing heights. Sisir Bhaduri acted on this stage for many years. Running for over a century now, the theatre can accommodate an audience of upto 900 people. It can be booked by organisations for functions and ceremonies. Regular shows are no longer held at this theatre.
